Everybody Say Hooray! No Bombings Today!

Yesterday we had another wonderful day in London:

- a Thames river cruise
- hardly any rain
- a visit to Tate Modern art gallery
- Evensong at St. Paul's Cathedral
- both lunch and dinner at our new favorite place for quick, easy, healthy meals abroad: Marks & Spencer
- evening at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre watching the comedy Love's Labour's Lost. *Brilliant* (as Brits are often wont to say).

And then, the icing on the cake...

When we walked in the door, Alison said excitedly, 'No bombings today!' As if we could get any happier than we already were :).

And yet ... no mention of Canada Day. Hmmm, people leave and forgot AALLL about us back home celebrating away! ha ha Just kidding. Your day sounds WAY better than mine .. but I got to watch Abbotsford's fireworks ... aren't you jealous? ;)

Looking forward to reading more. I love how much you guys pack into a day. You know how to travel!

Hey Nelson and Terri,

Sounds like you are having a great time in my native land.
Listened to your new music posted on myspace. Loved it, I look forward to purchasing my copy.

oooh I watched Abbotsford's fireworks too. They were pretty sweet, I must say. Probably not quite as sweet as evensong at St. Paul's, or Shakespeare at the Globe. But pretty alright.

I guess.

Dudes, As soon as I read about the crazy thwarted bombings I thought about the both of you. PTL it never happened; PTL that no one was injured.

As for Canada Day....hmmm, I was in Kamloops at Fank's enjoying my favorite libation and Plumcake (BTW, not pastry....)

Hey N&T,
Thanks for taking the time to call last night (our time) to let us know you were fine, though having been at Heathrow Airport for some 20+ hours waiting to leave for your next set of adventures. Glad to hear you are fine and by now, we hope you are settled in Paris at Hotel de Turenne. BTW that's where Mom & I stayed 4 years ago. As I remember it, our room opened toward the street and the E Tower, but due to trees was not visible.
Have a great day - and note that our day is very exciting too - were off to have our teeth cleaned this morning.
Love you and Hey to P&C too.
Dad.
