Ciao from Roma!

Well, had a nice relaxing train ride from Genova this morning -- 5 hours long. After some walking around Rome's MASSIVE train station, we found our way to the appropriate bus to find our accommodations. We are staying in a delightful private apartment not far from the Vatican. Tonight we're planning to head out near the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps where we will find a place to have a nice relaxing dinner. Pasta and vino will be involved. Guaranteed.

No bags yet, but our faithful travel agent has been, and is, in touch with someone she knows at British Airways. Hopefully we'll get some good news -- or at least news -- soon.

I love Rome. Today I went to Mill Lake, and it was actually quite nice. But not as nice as Rome. Hehe I have a story or two about the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps... careful of the pub crawl that meets there, around 8pm.

That's all I'll say about that.

Here's hopin you'll get your bags soon!

Hey Guys,
Praying about those bags of yours. WOW! talk about having to be flexible. You guys are saints!

Sharon and I just got back from the lake Sunday. Unlike you (not sure if I should even say this but...) we got bumped off our flight, recieved a $400.00 vouacher for another flight in the next year, got to sit in the executive lounge and drink Port and nibble on cheese, and we flew first class in the evening and dined on salmon.

Now I really hope those bags come for you guys.
We leave for the San Jaun Islands for a Kayak trip Thursday. I will check up on Monday again.

Great to read you blog and hear what's happening.

speaking of lakes, you would not believe how warm the air is in abbbotsford, right now. blah.

this is very much unlike my summers growing up in nanaimo, beside the ocean. theres no cool temperate breezes, or semi-clean lakes within walking distance here. oh well.

eating pasta in italy is always a good idea. know any comparable places in abbotsford?
